This semester, I’m taking a course called, “Creative Writing for New Media.” While I went into the course thinking that we’d be learning to write for the web, it’s been an eye-opening experience to an area of work just when New Media–the internet and computers–began being available to everyone. So while much of the homework we are doing is playing Zork, it’s been interesting seeing what life was like when the internet ran extremely slowly.
For that class, I wrote a Choose Your Own Adventure Story entitled, “Murder in Home Depot” using Inklewriter. While Inklewriter is still in its beta stages, it was really easy and fun to use. If you think writing creative stories with lots of different endings is fun, go take a look.
